"Good food, good location, nice staff, I come here almost every week, and my favorite dish is the four-cheese pizza. I highly recommend it if you want delicious and reasonably priced Italian food in a nice atmosphere."

"We found this hidden gem on the beach in Rawai and loved every minute. Located between small seafood restaurants, this authentic Italian place with amazing décor is the perfect addition. The food is fresh and delicious, the pizzas are cooked to perfection, and the wine list is curated by someone who knows what he's doing. "Authentic Italian food! The Bufata caprese is so fresh and flavorful!!! Their pizza is with the thinnest dough I have ever eaten in different countries so far. Plus the location — it is right on Rawai beach and very romantic with only a few visitors. Beautiful spot to enjoy a sunset or evening view. The staff are really attentive and welcoming!!!! Will definitely come back!"

"Great food, amazing service…annoying fire dancers on the beach with loud music. Some people like them…I just wanted to have a dinner in peace. The two waiters that seated me and brought me food were beyond nice: Thai hospitality at its best. Ordered a Caprese salad (fresh tomatoes, basil, mozzarella and great olive oil) and a carbonara pasta that was great (real guanciale and not overcooked pasta). The only downside was the fire dancer on the beach with a loudspeaker that was extremely annoying for 20m (some people seemed to liked it…I dreaded it) Overall recommended ************************* Updated review: upgrading to 5 stars. Went a second time when it was raining and there were no fire dancers… what a lovely place it became!!! It had an amazing view and it was as peaceful as it gets. Tried the marinara clams and the Guancette…both were great. Also I had a glass of Primitivo that was served at the correct temperature and was awesome. Chapeau, great place..to the point that I’m going back tonight again!! Just make sure to check the firedancer situation before seating down if that annoys you (the show last ~20mim)"

"What to say.....AMAZING!! We arrived at 18pm and enjoy the sunset with Aperitive. We would like to special thanks again Elio, which recommended food and wine ( to paring with the food ). Carpaccio di Polpo surprised us! We choose even Tartare di Tonno ( delicious ) and Branzino alla griglia ( we was enjoying too much the food that we forgot to take the picture of it ). To finish we choose Lemon Sorbet with Vodka.. I strongly recommend to visit them...Congratz again guys...amazing food!!"

"Simply excellent shore side location, with perfect selection of Italian food prepared under the careful direction of the Italian family owner. The few beach side tables get taken quickly, so best to book. Friendly quick service, good wine selection, draught & bottle beer. A big favourite location for many locals."

"One of my favourite corners of Phuket for a sunset Aperol Spritz aperitivo right on the beach in the beautiful Rawai! La Locanda del Pescatore is a family-run Italian restaurant with 3 generations still on duty! Currently the son Elio will warmly welcoming you in both Italian and Thai languages! He is doing his best to care for all details and customers’ expectations under the expert eyes of dad Stefano and grandpa Salvatore! Their linguine Canadian lobsters are really good, togheter with their Moscardini alla Luciana (octopus in tomato’s sauce and black olives) and a delicious traditional Roman style pizza!! Don’t miss their wine (such as this Falanghina!) list with a great choice at very reasonable price! Make sure you book in advance especially during this holidays season’s to secure your sea-view best table!"

"Excellent food and wine with a lovely view. We both had the branzino, which was grilled to perfection. Extensive wine list with prices on par with US, but ours was really nice and totally worth it! And the tiramisu was fabulous as well. We saw the owner scoping things out during the evening rush. It’s the best things about a Philly Italian restaurant with all the Ambiance of sitting on the edge of the Andaman Sea!"
